📝 Job Overview

Action Against Hunger is hiring a Senior Program Manager to lead integrated health, nutrition, WASH, and food security projects in its operational base in Waghimra. Reporting to the Field Coordinator, the selected candidate will ensure the quality and timely implementation of programs while working closely with teams, partners, and communities.

🧭 Key Responsibilities

✔️ Program Planning & Oversight

• Design and implement detailed program plans and budgets.

• Ensure compliance with donor regulations and internal policies.

• Conduct needs assessments and contribute to new project proposals.

✔️ Technical Supervision

• Oversee health, nutrition, WASH, and food security activities.

• Mentor field teams and promote integrated service delivery.

• Ensure availability of updated protocols and guidelines.

✔️ Monitoring & Evaluation

• Lead regular monitoring and reporting.

• Collaborate with MEAL teams to ensure data quality.

• Organize surveys and document lessons learned.

✔️ HR Management

• Supervise and mentor program coordinators.

• Conduct performance evaluations and support staff development.

✔️ Coordination & Representation

• Represent ACF in regional coordination meetings and clusters.

• Foster partnerships with government bodies, NGOs, and UN agencies.

👩‍🎓 Qualifications

• Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Public Health, Nutrition, Health Management, or Medicine with 7+ years of experience

  • OR a Master’s degree with 5+ years experience

• Experience:

  • Proven track record in integrated health, nutrition, and livelihoods programs

  • Expertise in maternal and child health, IYCF-E, CMAM, and micronutrient support

  • Strong background in program leadership, staff mentoring, and external representation

• Leadership and team management

• Grant and budget management

• Communication, negotiation, and documentation skills

• Familiarity with tools like Epi Info, SPSS, and MS Office

• Proficiency in English; Amharic is a plus

• Flexibility and ability to work under pressure
