Marie Stopes International Ethiopia is seeking a dedicated Clinical Officer with expertise in Paediatrics to join their health team in Addis Ababa. If you are passionate about caring for children and newborns, and meet the criteria, this could be your next impactful role.
🔧 Key Responsibilities:
Reporting to a specialist or paediatrician, the selected candidate will:

Deliver outpatient and inpatient care for infants and children.

Conduct medical assessments and prescribe appropriate treatments.

Oversee emergency and NICU care alongside medical experts.
-
Educate families about common childhood illnesses and caregiving methods.
-
Detect and manage cases involving child abuse (physical, emotional, or sexual).
-
Provide maternal and child health (MCH), immunization, and health education services.
-
Maintain confidentiality and professional standards in all aspects of care.

Support newborn care, including resuscitation and emergency procedures.
-
Participate in internal training, reporting, and quality improvement initiatives.

Promote clinic services through field visits, community dialogues, and referral networks.
🎓 Required Qualifications:

Education: MD (General Practitioner), BSc in
Health Officer, or BSc in Paediatric Nursing.

Experience: Minimum of 2 years in clinical
services; experience in paediatric care is
highly preferred.
