💼 Position Summary

MSF-Holland is looking for an experienced Nursing Activity Manager (NAM) to lead nursing care and IPC activities in its Midr Genet (Abdurafi) project, supporting patients affected by Kala Azar and Snakebites. This role includes managing nurses, ensuring quality of care, training staff, and coordinating with partners and local health bureaus.

🎯 Key Responsibilities

• Plan, organize, and supervise nursing care in OPD/IPD, maternity, and nutrition units

• Ensure implementation of MSF protocols and quality care standards

• Manage and support nursing staff, duty schedules, and on-the-job training

• Support infection prevention and patient-centered care initiatives

• Collaborate with medical/logistics/pharmacy teams for supply and equipment needs

• Train health workers in Snakebite and Kala Azar treatment

• Supervise data collection, reporting, and referrals

• Engage communities and contribute to emergency preparedness and response

✅ Job Requirements

Education:

• Required: Nursing diploma

• Preferred: BSc in Nursing; training in tropical medicine is a plus

Experience:

• Minimum 2 years in a nursing-related role

• MSF/NGO experience and knowledge in NTDs (KA & SB), TB, HIV, or palliative care preferred

• Strong management skills and team leadership

Languages:

• English and Amharic (Fluent); local language an asset

Other Skills:

• Computer literacy

• Excellent communication and active listening

• Problem-solving, flexibility, and result orientation
