👩‍⚕️ Position Overview: Nurse

ASDEPO is seeking three qualified Nurses to join their mobile health and nutrition team in the Gambella region. The selected candidates will support the implementation and delivery of quality healthcare services including outpatient treatment, maternal and child health, immunizations, and emergency care.

✅ Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate mobile health and nutrition outreach activities and weekly movement plans

• Deliver services such as IMNCI/ICCM, safe motherhood care, emergency referrals, and routine immunization (EPI)

• Support procurement and distribution of essential drugs and medical supplies

• Facilitate community health education on sanitation, nutrition, and disease prevention

• Supervise and mentor Health Extension Workers (HEWs) and provide on-the-job training

• Ensure accurate record-keeping and timely reporting (OTP, EPI, consultations, etc.)

• Monitor and follow up with defaulters and absentees

• Ensure linkage and referral between mobile teams and local health facilities

• Contribute to internal capacity-building efforts and community outreach programs

🎓 Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing or Public Health

• Minimum 3 years’ experience, with at least 2 years in maternal and child health in a clinical setting

• Experience with NGO work, especially in CMAM/mobile health programs, is highly preferred

• Strong knowledge of SAM management, IMNCI/ICCM, and safe motherhood care

• Ability to work under pressure, in team settings, and in field conditions

• Strong reporting and computer skills (MS Office)

• Good communication in English and local language
