🩺 Job Summary

The IYCF Officer will lead community nutrition counseling, organize food demonstrations, and promote mother-to-mother support groups. Working closely with local health offices, HDAs, and IRC teams, the officer will integrate IYCF with maternal and child health services and monitor progress.

This position is central to IRC’s mission of improving child survival, maternal health, and nutritional awareness in underserved areas.

✅ Major Responsibilities

• Organize food cooking demonstrations and community nutrition education

• Establish and manage Mother-to-Mother Support Groups

• Provide technical support to Health Extension Workers (HEWs)

• Promote IYCF practices at health posts, centers, and community gatherings

• Ensure availability and tracking of IYCF supplies

• Develop and distribute IEC/BCC materials

• Collaborate with Economic Recovery & Development (ERD) sector

• Report activities regularly and participate in coordination meetings

🎓 Educational & Experience Requirements

• Education: Master's or BSc/Diploma in Public Health, Nursing, or Midwifery

• Experience:

  • 1+ year for Master’s holders

  • 2+ years for BSc holders

  • 5+ years for Diploma holders

• Preferred: IYCF, CMAM, AMIYCN, IMAM certifications

• Language: Fluency in English; local language skills are a plus

• Skills: Excellent interpersonal, reporting, facilitation, and Microsoft Office skills
